Ever think about using a NJ sober house?
Has anyone ever mentioned an NJ Sober House to you as you’ve searched for more information about addiction treatment? Because sober houses are rarely covered by insurance, many people are unaware of the benefits of living in a supportive community of recovering addicts. At Surfside Structured Sober Living, we take the benefits of “independent” living with recovering addicts and couple it with a structured environment that emphasizes staying active physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The recent Rx Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit looked at some harrowing statistics, including a graphic revealing that 80% of people who meet the criteria for an Illicit Drug Use Disorder are not receiving treatment. Of the 20% who do receive treatment, many are introduced to recovery through a 28-day treatment center and then released back into a hectic world with little structure and minimal tools for success. Surfside Structured Sober Living believes addicts require an immense amount of structure and guidance as they learn to navigate life as people in recovery. When a person completes treatment, we encourage them to move into our NJ sober house for a transitional period of time (this may range from 3 to 9 months) and develop critical life skills, set reasonable goals, become active in a 12 step fellowship, experience new adventures, remain physically engaged and give back to the community. This structured environment leaves little room for boredom and self-pity and operates on the principle that self-esteem is only created through esteemable actions.
As you search for an NJ Sober House, we hope you’ll notice the advantages of Surfside, the only structured sober living of this kind in New Jersey. Located steps from the beach and owned/managed by a credentialed LCADC, this program is rooted in a desire to share the gifts of recovery with all who seek.
